Fake delivery notifications are reliable comedy because they look almost exactly like the real notifications people get from couriers all day. The format works because the recipient's brain starts processing it as a real alert before the absurdity of the content registers.
The trick to a believable fake delivery prank is the **mundane specificity** โ give an order number, a count of items, an arrival window. "Your order of 47 rubber ducks is out for delivery" lands harder than "fake delivery joke" because the specific number sells the realism.
Swap the rubber ducks for any absurd item: a single banana, 200 light bulbs, a life-size cardboard cutout of a celebrity. The cleaner the format, the funnier the cargo.
