Fake low-battery cliffhangers are one of the highest-engagement formats on TikTok — the screenshot ends mid-sentence with a 2% battery, leaving the viewer to wonder what was about to be said.
This template is intentionally just two bubbles. When you build the screenshot, the 2% battery indicator does all the storytelling — the viewer's eye goes to it instantly, and the mid-sentence cutoff completes the dread.
Use as a story-time cold open ("what was she about to say?"), a horror-comedy setup, or as a creative writing prompt. The format works because the missing message is more powerful than any actual message could be. Set the status-bar battery indicator to red 2% manually if your tool allows.
