PostMock is a free online tool that lets anyone create realistic-looking fake iMessage and text message screenshots in seconds — no sign-up, no watermark, no cost. It was built for content creators, meme makers, designers and storytellers who need believable chat mockups for videos, social posts, presentations and parody.
Most existing fake-screenshot tools look dated, plaster watermarks on your exports, or feel clunky on a phone. We wanted one that is genuinely nice to use, looks authentic, and runs entirely in your browser so your content stays private.
Everything happens locally in your browser. The messages you type and any avatar you upload never leave your device — nothing is uploaded to a server. When you close the tab, it's gone.
PostMock is intended for entertainment, parody, education and mockups. Please don't use it to deceive, harass, defraud or impersonate real people. Creating fake screenshots to mislead others can be illegal in many places — you are responsible for how you use what you create.

PostMock is a free browser-based generator for fake chat and phone screenshots. It renders a realistic mockup of a messaging app — WhatsApp, iMessage, Instagram DM, Snapchat, Discord, Telegram, Messenger, Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, ChatGPT, Claude — from text you type, and exports it as a high-resolution PNG. It is used for memes, parody, comedy content, social media posts, UI mockups, presentations and app-design previews.
Yes, and there is never a watermark on any export. Without an account you get 5 free PNG downloads, plus 3 more for each of up to 2 shares (11 in total). After that a free Google sign-in is required, and signed-in users have unlimited downloads. Video exports require sign-in from the first download. There is no paid tier and no subscription.
No install. PostMock runs entirely in the browser on desktop and mobile — there is no app to download and nothing to configure. Editing and preview happen client-side; the screenshot is rendered in your own browser rather than on a server. You can start typing and see the preview without an account.
Describe a scenario in plain language ("two friends arguing about pizza") and PostMock writes the whole conversation for you, in short, natural, realistic messages. It can also continue an existing conversation by writing the other person's next replies. Tweets can be generated the same way.

PostMock is built for parody, comedy, memes, content creation, mockups and design previews, and it says so on every page. Using a fabricated screenshot to deceive, defraud, impersonate a real person, harass someone, or manufacture evidence is wrong and in many places illegal — that is not what the tool is for and it is explicitly discouraged in the product. Creators should label parody content as parody.
